Family

The Army Reserve is only able to successfully defend the nation due to the support of family members. We draw strength from the families standing beside each Army Reserve Soldier, and we appreciate and respect your duty and sacrifice.

During the deployment, family members, friends and others are encouraged to keep updated about the events that affect 314th Soldiers by reading the blog entries of individual Soldiers and the unit in general.

A Family Readiness Group has been formed to provide support and information to all family members and friends. Mr. Del Tull, father of unit member SGT Bryan Tull, is the group’s coordinator. If you are a family member facing a challenge, or you just want to talk to someone else facing the absence of a Soldier/loved one, contact the 314th PAOC Family Readiness Group. Family members can reach Mr. Tull at email

To facilitate secure communication, all authorized family members are encouraged to obtain AKO email addresses. This is especially important because AKO provides access to resources and information not available otherwise. These sponsored accounts are created with the assistance of Soldiers. Instructions for creating sponsored accounts can be found at www.us.army.mil. Once the page opens, click on the Register for AKO link and follow the simple directions. Remember, only a Soldier with a current AKO account can create a sponsored account.

Prior to the departure of the 314th of the 314th Public Affairs Operations Center, its Soldiers have taken steps to ensure the health and well-being of their families. However, if unexpected events occur, family members can seek support from many military programs and allied organizations. The links below provide a connection to support:
